The Victorian in me
Starting to blog about sex was a HUGE decision for me.
Being a busy wife, mum and business owner I had convinced myself I didn’t have the time or energy to invest into sex.. that was something other, younger, fitter, more attractive people did. I was on the once a week track; whether we needed it or not. I can honestly say that sex wasn’t an issue to me. Or more specifically, lack of sex wasn’t an issue to me.
But times change and something clicked. A little voice was whispering in my ear ‘you deserve to have sex…. it’s good for you…… sex is fun….. it will make your relationship stronger’. So eventually I gave in and committed to getting myself a good sex life with my husband.
And then I wanted to write about it.
Yesterday I learnt I still had a way to go about being totally, unashamedly out there with my sex life.
Paul mentioned anal sex.
And I cringed.
I felt very Victorian – I even think I blushed. Which led me to wonder why I feel there is something a little, shall I say, socially unacceptable about anal sex. It’s not a subject I’ve ever spoken about to any of my female friends – we just pretend it doesn’t exist.
But it does. I know for a fact. I do it (occasionally).
I’ve just recently had my first experience of anal whilst using a vibrator. I now may do it more often
So, what’s your opinion on anal sex? Do you? Don’t you? Would you like to?
